Give a driver a login when they should sign in to the app. The login is a user with the built-in Operator role, linked to the operator record. This page covers your side only: the invitation, its status and the link.
- You need the Operators > Add or Edit permission. The Owner role has both.
- Know the driver's email address. It becomes their sign-in.
- In the side menu, select Reference Data > Operators.
- Select Add Operator, or the pencil icon on an operator who has no email.
The form opens.
- Select Create login account.
The Email box unlocks and its label gains a star.
- In Email, enter jasper@harborfresh.example.com.
- Select Save Changes, or Update Operators when you edit.
The message "Operator created successfully" or "Operator updated successfully" appears. The driver gets an invitation by email.
If the email already belongs to a user of your account, Polygon links them without a new invitation.
- Open the operator with the pencil icon.
The status INVITED shows where the checkbox was.
- Select Resend Invitation.
The message "Invitation resent successfully" appears.
In the side menu, select Users. After the driver accepts the invitation, they are listed there with the Operator role, and the operators list shows their name under Linked User. See Users and Accept an invitation.
- Open the operator with the pencil icon.
A switch reads Unlink user account.
- Turn the switch off.
The label changes to Link user account.
- Select Update Operators.
The operator keeps their record and assignments, with no linked user.
Unlinking does not delete the user. To remove the user too, see Change or remove a user.
