You exported a report, downloaded device messages, or scheduled a report, and you cannot find the file or the email.
Exports do not download at once. The app queues them and builds the file in the background. When the file is ready, the app downloads it and keeps a copy in Saved reports. A scheduled report builds its files on a timer, emails them and also puts them in Saved reports.
After you choose a format, the notification centre opens on its Tasks tab with the export. It reads "Queued", "Generating", "Downloading" and finally "Downloaded".

Fix
A downloaded task leaves the Tasks list after 30 minutes. The export stays in Saved reports. See Notifications and background tasks.
A large report with Resolve addresses on takes longer, because the export looks up an address for every row. Saved reports shows only your own exports, up to 50.
The app saves files straight from the page, without a new tab, so a pop-up blocker does not stop them. On a secure (https) page, it also asks for the file over https. A browser setting or extension can still block or ask about automatic downloads.

Fix
A device messages download saves only if you stay on the Messages screen. If you left, select the task in the Tasks tab under the bell icon; the file stays available for one hour. See Download device messages.

The app can refuse an export before it starts:
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| "Export is too large" | Export as CSV, choose a shorter period, or use a template that groups rows by day. |
| "Too many exports running" | Wait for one of your running exports to finish. |
| "Daily export limit reached" | Try again tomorrow, or export a smaller report. |
| "Too many worksheets" | Select fewer units, or use Export to Excel instead of Excel (a sheet per unit). |
The default row limits are 20,000 for PDF, 300,000 for Excel and 5,000,000 for CSV. Your installation can set others. The estimate on the Generate screen warns you first.
See Download a report as Excel, PDF or CSV.
The app keeps files for 30 days by default. After the "Available until" date on the entry, the file is gone. Download links in a scheduled report email work for up to 7 days, and never longer than the file exists.

Last run on the Scheduled screen says how the last run went.
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| "failed" | Hover over the tag to read the error. A template that someone deleted fails with "POLY_ERR_REPORTV2_TEMPLATE_NOT_FOUND"; create the schedule again from an existing template. |
| "some recipients missed" | Hover over the tag to see which addresses. A recipient who unsubscribed from notification emails gets no scheduled reports. See An email from the app did not arrive, or its link does not work. |
| "waiting for data" | The app was recalculating part of the period and skipped the run. The next run carries the corrected data. |
A schedule runs with your permissions at the time it runs. If you lost access to its units or data, its runs fail. If every run fails with "Something Went Wrong", contact support@getgps.eu with the schedule name.
An "overdue" tag on Next run means the time has passed and the run has not started yet.
Fix
Each recipient gets their own email. It carries the files when together they are 15 MB or smaller. Otherwise it has download links only, which some readers mistake for a missing attachment.
